What if I tell you-you can put on those jeans again and flaunt it exactly like you used to do once? Yes, I am right. So are you excited about being able to put on a pair of blue jeans? So let’s get started.
Here, I will be talking about my journey of losing fat and getting a perfect looking body. I will also be telling you how I became able took those blue jeans out of my wardrobe and flaunt it like a pro. I used to have a perfect body figure but as you know nothing lasts. After my first pregnancy and delivery of my child, my stomach skin didn’t look like it used to do, I put on extra weight which was too hard to lose. My lower abdomen started sagging and fat got stored into it, I developed stretch mark and my skin also became wrinkly down there. I tried very hard to get rid of it for like a year. I used to do a lot of workouts and follow a strict diet plan, but nothing helped. Though it was very hard for me to take care of my infant baby and my body simultaneously, with the help of my husband I used to manage my routine. I was bothered regarding the appearance of my stomach so much, my self-confidence started to decrease and I stopped going in any public function. My husband and family were getting worried about me. When nothing worked out and it became hard for me to continue I decided to take help from a doctor.
My friend’s husband is a well known plastic surgeon, I talked to him and scheduled an appointment. I was physically healthy and had a stable weight, I just wanted togged rid of that protruding unattractive extra skin on my stomach. In my first consultation the doctor made me understand what is actually a plastic surgery in the stomach is and what are its pro and cons. The surgeon told me it is called Tummy-tuck surgery or abdominoplasty, it will flatten my stomach by taking loose, excess fat and skin away and will tighten muscles in the abdominal wall and It will also destroy most of the stretch marks in my lower abdomen left after my pregnancy. He also confirmed whether I am planning another child or not as another pregnancy may influence surgery results. As I was not planning any future pregnancies and was happy with a single child, we moved on. I had options for Full Abdominoplasty, mini Abdominoplasty and Extended or High Lateral Tension Abdominoplasty. With the guidance of the surgeon, we decided to go for Full Abdominoplasty.
After consulting about my medical conditions, surgical goals, drug allergies and medical treatments, current medications, vitamins, herbal supplements, alcohol, tobacco and drug use and previous surge, and evaluating my general health status and any pre-existing health conditions or risk factors, my surgery was scheduled.
In the operation, general anesthesia was given to me and the doctor made a horizontally-oriented cut in my lower abdomen slightly above the pubic hairline and another cut around my navel. The extra skin on the abdomen was cut shorter and rest of the skin was stitched back together. A new opening for my navel was created. The belly button was popped through to the surface and sutured into place.
There was some scar left in my bikini area after the surgery which later fades away. I was advised to keep the scars dry until the stitches are removed. It is essential that we don’t put any pressure on the incision scar for a few weeks after the surgery. I was be standing tall and confident in my new slimmer and sleeker body profile in a week or two. After the surgery, I saw that my belly became flat and I had a firmer abdominal contour. And this how I was finally able to get my desired body shape and was also able to put on those favorite pair of jeans and stepped out into the world confidently.
